We are a family owned business specializing in granola and breads made by hand. In September 1997 Frank Glas bought a franchise and opened his store in Urbandale, Iowa.  The Corporate Office went bankrupt in 1999 and we became our own business. There are other stores in the U.S. but we have tweaked our recipes so that they are unique to only us. In recent times ownership has changed and is now owned and operated by brother and sister duo, Steve Glas and Amy Glas Reynolds. 

Our original location was at 7011 Douglas Ave, however in 2006 we needed more space. A move around the corner occurred and our address changed to 7021 Douglas Avenue, Urbandale, Iowa. 

Although we have “bread” in our name we don’t just bake bread. Over time we have shifted focus and expanded our line to include Granola, Cookies, Dutch Letters, Cinnamon Rolls and other pastry items as well as the Artisan Breads we are known for. 

Made From Scratch Daily

We pride ourselves in making these from scratch every day. Our breads are hand cut and rolled by our employees before proofing and baking. Our Granola is baked in a unique way to prevent crumbling. We package in large pieces which allows easier snacking and less mess. We always strive to use the Best Ingredients possible.
